Taking advantage of Tatiana being in Italy visiting her family, we went out on two successive weekends to go for a short sail on saturday and a long sail on sunday each. Obviously, our choise is clear: To head over to Wai Ling Ding and the Limas. While on the short saturday cruises it wasn’t possible to go to the Limas we settled for Wai Ling Ding instead.

The first weekend saw some very nice winds up to 15 knots. We did a few speed records under gennaker (topped out at 9.5 sustained, if only short). We had a blast of a sail on our way back, the wind at 135 true and apparent on the beam. Just as we like it although I have to recheck the auto-pilot settings as once an a while a wave would kick the stern away and the boat would run risk of rounding up – the auto-pilot just did not react in time.

Fishing wise, it was so-so. We had nothing on the first weekend, though had a few bites but nothing we could bring on board. Second weekend though we managed to bring in a nice spanish mackerel that weighed an astounding 1.5pounds. ;) Well, better than nothing and the taste was very good of course. No pictures here so you have to believe us !
